The second episode of ” A Remarkable Place to Die”  is an improvement. First, there are the Kiwi acting stalwarts Rima Te Wiata and Roy Billing.

The directing is sharper and the story has better pacing (there is more plot). But ultimately it follows the tropes of crime fiction. With a violent ending and a bedside dissection of any plot points you may have missed.
