A Remarkable Place to Die is a New Zealand Crime Drama set in Queenstown.
Detective Anais Mallory’s (Chelsie Preston Crayford) is the main protagonist. It’s the death of her sister Lynne (Tara Canton) two years ago that looks to provide the long story arc for the series.
Meanwhile, someone has driven off a cliff. And it’s up to the police, headed by Sharon Li Feng: (ex Dr Grace Kwan from Shortland St) to find the murderer.

Fortunately, Mike Edward is here as Stus Van Heusen, looking very suspicious without a shirt.

Despite being just 90 minutes long, it feels longer as there is just a bit more of characters gazing into the distance after every scene.
It doesn’t have the charm of “The Brokenwood Mysteries”, or the action of an imported TV show. So it needs to improve to keep my attention.
