Shooter is an American drama television series based on the 2007 film of the same name and the first three novels in the Bob Lee Swagger series by Stephen Hunter.

The show stars Ryan Phillippe in the lead role of Swagger, a retired United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper who is coaxed back into action.

There are three seasons. The first being 10 episodes long.

It’s standard conspiracy theory stuff. It can’t be about the problems of a single gunman, but an attempt to kill the president. It has plenty if twists and turns. With the script keeping Swagger just ahead of a bullet for himself.

Eddie McClintock turns up as a swaggering bad guy. I last saw him in Warehouse 13  (2009-2014)
