Torment

Torment
by Jeremy Bishop (2010)

Actually, Jeremy Bishop is Jeremy Robinson and this appear to be his first novel under this pseudonym. This is a story of what happens after devastating nuclear war. A group of people at the white house escape on space ships, only to return and find that people have turned into Zonbies.

This feels like an early Jeremy Robinson novel. Not as polished as later books. Sometimes to events being depicted are not as clear as they could be. Characters are not as well developed as in other books.

The story is cobbled together from science fiction and horror. The first half is good, but when it comes to fighting the Zombie apocalypse there is not real objective for the characters. As the “live” characters decrease, a satisfying ending seems less likely.

One of the early and less satisfying novels from this author.
